Hayden Plunkett, PA-C

Hayden Plunkett, PA-C, is a dedicated orthopedic physician assistant specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow care at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Tupelo. Working alongside Dr. Eric Lewis, Hayden is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping individuals return to the activities they enjoy most.

Originally from Amory, Hayden earned his undergraduate education at Itawamba Community College and Mississippi State University, where he held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Student Government Association and President of the Transfer Student Association. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Alabama, where he also served as Co-Diversity Chair for his class.

Hayden’s approach to patient care is grounded in strong communication, clinical excellence, and a genuine desire to serve others. In recognition of his dedication and impact, he was named “Best PA” in the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Outside of the clinic, Hayden enjoys mentoring others, investing in his community, and spending time with his wife, Valerie Blake Plunkett, and their dog, Kobe, at their home in Fulton.
