Anna Burns, PA-C, ATC

Anna Burns, PA-C, ATC, is a highly experienced Physician Assistant in Orthopedics who has been a key part of Dr. Daniel Boyd’s team since 2012. She provides comprehensive orthopedic care for patients in Oxford and Grenada, including the evaluation and treatment of joint pain, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Anna also assists Dr. Boyd in the operating room, ensuring patients receive seamless care from clinic through surgery and recovery.

Her background in both athletic training and orthopedic medicine gives her a unique perspective in helping patients of all ages return to an active lifestyle. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Anna worked as an athletic trainer at the University of Mississippi, where she cared for Ole Miss athletes across multiple sports and taught in the Exercise Science Department. Today, she continues her passion for education by serving as a preceptor for physician assistant and exercise science students.

Anna earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Huntingdon College, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has also completed doctoral coursework in Nutrition at the University of Mississippi, strengthening her understanding of overall health, recovery, and performance.

Outside of her medical practice, Anna and her family are active members of First Baptist Church Oxford.

Anna is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-focused orthopedic care, helping individuals recover from injuries, manage joint conditions, and get back to the activities they love.
